Sessions for Individuals

$150/session
You may, like many people, find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns or behaviors that do not show who you really are inside or the person you want to become. Maybe you are motivated to grow and heal and have done lots of work on your own out of a desire to do better for yourself and those around you. 

Every bit of your effort counts and is significant as it lays a solid foundation to work from. Continuing this journey with the help of a therapist can allow you to go further and deeper into places you may not have been able to go alone or may not have realized were significant. Healing and growth can happen effectively in another’s presence where you feel safe and understood as well as seen and heard. This is why the “therapist-client relationship” is so crucial to the effectiveness of therapy sessions. 

Therapy is a secure place to express, explore, learn, heal, and grow as your authentic self with no filters. A place you can give yourself a voice, even in areas that you don’t typically stop to notice. Verbalizing your thoughts and feelings can bring clarity and allow you to move forward. We will give voice to parts of you hurting from your past in a non-threatening way so that they stop overwhelming you the way they have been.  I weave together concepts and techniques drawn from different therapy modalities that serve each client the best. Together, we will work towards healing.

Sessions for Couples

$150/session

Couples often get stuck in a negative cycle in which they feel unsafe expressing their vulnerable feelings. Do you feel distant from your partner as if you two are civil roommates rather than intimate copilots?  Do you feel constantly misunderstood, judged, and get caught up in a contentious rivalry?  Maybe something happened in your relationship, and you need to work on regaining trust. 

If you think your relationship may be in trouble, or you don’t quite understand what is going on but something doesn't feel right, do not ignore it.  It is important that you feel like you can count on your partner, and that you feel loved and accepted. 

By combining different modalities(including Relational Life Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Gottman methodologies) we can get to the root of what is happening at a foundational level with each person in the relationship to address cycles where you feel stuck, increase a sense of safety between you as a couple and bring healing and effective communication to the context of your partnership.

Couples counseling is not about pointing fingers, but about working together as a team.  When there is a strong bond in your relationship, it will make you both stronger and happier as individuals as well.
